ÖAZV invites you to visit

European Championships for Shagya-Arabian
on  June, 12th and  13th,  2010.


Due to changed framework conditions this event will now take place in the Pferdezentrum Stadl Paura. With this venue an equivalent setting has been found for this internationally important breeding event of our
breed of horse. This venue has already proven itself over many years as a venue for top class, international equestrian sport & breeding events.


ÖAZV cordially invites all breeders, horse enthusiasts and admirers of the Shagya Arabian to this event and hopes for lively participation of the breeders from home and abroad.

You will be sent the bidding invitation and registration criteria in good time.

ISG Delegates meeting 2010 - June 11th

Annual meeting of ISG members will take place in Stadl-Paura in Austria, starting June, 11th with the Delegates meeting and continuing on Saturday and Sunday, 12th and 13th, with an European Championship for Shagya-Arabians.

The agenda will be shown right here in time before the meeting and will be sent out to all members. Announcements can be sent to ISG chairman Ahmed Al Samarraie until May, 25th.

Shagya-Arabs - the horses we love

These noble horses convince everybody at once by their charming expression and  impress during every days contact with devoted eagerness, elegant dexterity, neverending endurance and invincible fighting spirit combined with clear mind and wellmanered temper. To ride a Shagya-Arab is a real treat, to drive them a great pleasure. Their robust health, great contended and arabian longlife lets everbody enjoy them as a jewel of breeders and riders family.

The purpose of the society is the coordination of Shagya-Arabian breeding in the member countries from the points of view of breeding goal, preservation of pure breeding and furthering of the Shagya-Arabian race. The ISG advocates the interests of Shagya-Arabian breeding internationally. ISG outlines for its members the guiding principles for editing the national studbooks.  These national studbooks are recognized by the ISG.

Details you will find in  statutes of ISG and in  studbookrules(RZB) which we are currently working on to adapt them to changed breeding laws in several countries.

ISG Internationale Shagya-Araber Gesellschaft  cooparates with the national  Shagya-Araber breeding associations in Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, France, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Tschechien, Hungary,  USA and Canada, Venezuela, Israel  and the national studs Bábolna (Hungary) and Topolcianky (Slowakia)). In  Romania with the foundation stud Radautz (the most important one besides Bábolna) and Staatestud  Mangalia as well as in Croatia and Spain work active breeders who have  asked for membership in  ISG . Their studbbooks will be proofed soon to decide finally about membership.  Also there are some individuell breeders in Greece, Italy und  Ireland.

Private persons, single breeders and friends of the Shagy-Araber horses may support the work of ISG by "supporting membership". Besides the financial part supporting members may participate in discussions and workgroups for the developement of the Shagya-Araber population.
